A message from Mayor Shivery

As this COVID-19 emergency continues and we see the number of cases of the Coronavirus continue to rise throughout the Country, State and locally within Gloucester County, we are all faced with keeping ourselves and our families safe and protected during these unprecedented circumstances. I strongly encourage everyone to take the personal steps necessary to comply with the guidelines and recommendations from the Center for Disease control (CDC) that have been widely circulated and the stay at home order issued by Governor Murphy.

It is so very important to do your personal part to prevent the further spread of this virus in our community. Even though we have not yet had any reported cases in Greenwich Township, I do not want our community to become complacent. We must continue to maintain social distancing, stay home unless it is for essential needs or work.

And know that while you are doing your part, you can be assured that the Township officials and Emergency Management personnel have been extremely busy doing their part too. We have been regularly monitoring information and coordinating our efforts to deal this Novel COVID‐19. The health and safety of our residents and township employees are our utmost priority.

If we all continue to do our best, I am confident that we will come through this challenging crisis together just as we have in the past with many other emergencies and natural disasters. Although this event has unique challenges that we have never seen before in our lifetime, I am confident in those emergency personnel and employees of Greenwich Township tasked to handle whatever arises. We will continue to work along with our county, state and federal officials to make sure everyone remains safe and gets the essential services they need.

All of the Township Buildings will remain closed. Since all Municipal buildings will not be open for public access, services can still be accessed through alternative means. Township employees will still be working in a reduced capacity and remotely to provide services to the public. Please visit our website www.greenwichtwp.com for information on services or call (856) 423-1038. Essential services of police and fire coverage, water supply and sewer treatment, recycling and trash removal will still continue

The Township of Greenwich will continue to provide information as it is given to us through our website and our official Facebook, follow us https://www.facebook.com/Greenwich-Township-1582029218703597/. You may also visit the NJ State site for information https://covid19.nj.gov/ .

Thank you for your patience and understanding during these unprecedented events. Please know that we are working tirelessly to ensure the health and safety of all of our residents and employees. Stay safe!
