The focus of Community Policing is to provide our officers with a way to meet, interact, and have a positive connection with our community and also to promote and reward safe choices! If you have any questions about this initiative, stop in to chat with one of our awesome officers!

bike picNEW FOR SUMMER 2018!

The Greenwich Township Police Department is excited to announce a new community policing program being devoted to bringing awareness to Bicycle Helmet Safety! The new program will begin Memorial Day (May 28th) and run through the entire summer. Ciconte’s Italia Pizza and the Greenwich Township Municipal Alliance have teamed up with our department to help us promote this exciting new program.

To help promote safe riding, officers from the Greenwich Township Police Department will be issuing “tickets” to kids observed wearing their helmets while riding their bicycles. The program also applies to kids who are observed riding scooters, on skates, and/or skateboards. The tickets can be turned in to receive one free plain slice of pizza and one small fountain soda from Ciconte’s, located at 206 W. Broad St. in Gibbstown (the tickets are good only at the Gibbstown location).
