1. The recycling contractor keeps missing my containers, why?

There may be several reasons. 1) NO PLASTIC BAGS! Plastic bags jam up the sorting equipment.. 2) Your container should have "RECYCLE" markings or be blue or have sticker prominently displayed on it. You can get these stickers at the Municipal Building or Township Garage. 3) The can is larger than 35 gallons or weighs more than 50 pounds. 4) Greasy Pizza boxes or other greasy/dirty containers. Greasy items are trash - not recyclable. 

2. What about my TV, VCR, DVD and other E-Waste?

E-Waste is TV's, Computers, Monitors, DVD Players and other electronic goods. Give us a call and we'll put you on the list for pickup. If you have working TV's, you can take them to Goodwill - see the Goodwill Locations link.

3. I have a washer / dryer / freezer or other "white good" to dispose of?

White goods ( a term for appliances that were often coated in white enamel) should be placed curbside by appointment only 856-224-0373.

4. What about PV (Solar) Panels?

As of October 2022 we don't have guidance from the state as yet. We are unable to accept them as trash or recycling. They must be taken by your contractor or you can ship them back to the manufacturer. There is an industry flyer that describes how they plan to approach this in the near future...

1. Something was thrown away by accident, can we get it back?

About 75% of the towns trash is incinerated except when diverted to the county landfill. In either case the trucks are unloaded and processed quickly. Retrieval is unlikely.

2. We have a sofa or chair to discard, when do we place it curbside?

These items should be placed curbside by 6:30 am on your regular trash collection day for your street.
